About my Work

I’m often asked about the images in my art and where they come from – and the answer is: memory and make-believe.

Each of us is affected by everything we’ve seen or experienced and this is what I draw from – along with a whole lot of imagination.  My images may look familiar at first, but they’re not really intended to be literal.  A favorite piece is called “Memories and Make Believe” and that pretty well sums it up.

For some time, my work has reflected a growing fascination with what might be ahead as we continue to blur the lines between biology and technology, as well as the impact we’re having on our planet – for better or worse.  Most recently, this has resulted in a series of what I like to call my “aerial landscapes” – fanciful views of our earth, often from unexpected perspectives (including several at the same time).
